The head coach of Colorado Football, Deion Sanders, recently expressed that he hasn’t completely recovered from some private health issues that plagued him during the previous NFL offseason in Buffalo. In a video shared by his son, Deion Jr., Sanders discussed his current health while taking an ice bath for his legs. He mentioned, “We’ve been working and fishing. My legs have been gone since yesterday morning. I’m still going through something, not all of the ways I’ve recovered.”
Earlier in the month, during Big 12 Media Day, Sanders had sidestepped questions regarding his health, likely stemming from prior absences during spring and early summer due to his health concerns. At that time, he remarked, “I’m not here to talk about my health. I’m here to talk about my team.” He added, “I look good, I live a lovely life. God really blessed me. It’s not the cares of the world, it’s not the desires of the world.”
In a recent video, Sanders shared a moment on his home basketball court, highlighting a tennis lesson he took with his son. He seemed to enjoy it, saying, “We just had an incredible tennis session. It was training.” However, he also noted, “My legs are gone and my back is hurting.”
In another clip featuring his daughter, they talked about their running routine, with Sanders jokingly stating, “You ran, I did everything I could.” As he heads into his third season with Colorado after signing a hefty contract extension earlier this year, Sanders faces the season without his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. The anticipation for the upcoming season is palpable, but there’s also a lingering concern about his overall health.
