Pete Davidson happily shared news of expecting his first child on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” following an announcement from his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, last week.
During a joyful exchange on Tuesday night, Davidson expressed his excitement about becoming a father, saying it was a dream of his. The crowd reacted enthusiastically when he noted, “I did that!” He then turned to Fallon, clarifying, “If you know me, I’m really excited. Elsie is excited too.”
Fallon reassured Davidson, suggesting he would be a “fantastic dad.” Davidson replied, “Everything else just doesn’t matter anymore,” after thanking him. It’s really nice.
Hewitt, 29, revealed on Instagram last Wednesday that she was pregnant, casually captioning a series of photos and videos featuring Davidson, “Now everyone knows we’re having sex.” One of the pictures depicted the couple cozily together, with Davidson’s hand on her stomach.
The video also showed them holding hands during an ultrasound appointment. According to sources, the baby is expected in early winter, and Davidson is reportedly excited about this new chapter. Family members are also thrilled, with the insider mentioning anticipation for new grandparents and aunts.
Hewitt had previously hinted at her pregnancy with an Instagram post mentioning a “strange, chaotic month,” accompanied by a picture of herself in a loose shirt. Additionally, Davidson had expressed his desire to be a father on a 2022 episode of “Heart to Heart,” stating that family was important to him and sharing that he longs to have children.
In March, Page Six shared the news of Davidson and Hewitt’s relationship. Some sources noted that Hewitt had attended one of Davidson’s comedy shows in New Jersey, indicating a supportive connection.
