David Armstrong Accuses David Geffen of Grooming and Payment for Sex
David Armstrong, who is the estranged husband of billionaire David Geffen, has filed a significant lawsuit asserting that Geffen paid him for sex and engaged in manipulative behavior. Armstrong, who is known to attend various events, claims that he and the film producer met on Seekingarrangements.com.
According to the lawsuit, which was submitted on Tuesday, Armstrong alleges that Geffen offered him $10,000 for sex on the very first night they met.
After that encounter, Armstrong contends that Geffen began treating him as something like a “living social experiment,” displaying him to his wealthy friends while disguising it as a charitable act. He described the situation as, perhaps, a troubling game, suggesting that he was merely a prop in Geffen’s performances of virtue.
Armstrong, who grew up in foster care, claims that Geffen eventually professed his love for him and described their relationship as “real and lasting.”
The lawsuit claims that Geffen used Armstrong’s traumatic background as a means to groom him, presenting himself as a savior or mentor while neglecting to provide genuine support. Armstrong feels that Geffen exploited his life story rather than helping him heal.
He further alleges that Geffen would transport him globally, often involving international trips on Geffen’s private superyacht while treating him like a paid sex worker.
Additionally, the complaint states that Geffen exerted tight control over Armstrong’s appearance and hygiene, even going so far as to arrange painful laser and dental procedures. Armstrong feels that Geffen often criticized him regarding his physical presentation.
The suit notes that Geffen supposedly introduced various drugs into Armstrong’s life and attempted to involve him socially with influential figures in his circle. Despite this, Armstrong expressed a desire for a fresh start – indicating he wanted to develop an identity he could take pride in – which allegedly led Geffen to cut him off and seek a divorce.
Armstrong claims that post-divorce, Geffen’s actions have made it challenging for him to maintain suitable living conditions. His lawsuit includes requests for damages and support necessary for his ongoing living expenses.
In response to the lawsuit, Geffen’s lawyer, Patty Glaser, has denied the allegations, insisting there were no formal agreements in place. She stated, “We will be vigorously and correctly defending this false and pathetic lawsuit.”
Attempts to reach Armstrong’s representatives for comments were unsuccessful, as were inquiries made to Geffen’s legal team.
