Gabbard releases information revealing the Obama administration's involvement in the Russian collusion investigation

New House Report Relieves Insight Into Russian Election Interference

On Wednesday, Tarshi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, made public a House report that had remained classified since 2020. This report supports the claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin attempted to meddle in the 2016 presidential election in favor of then-candidate Donald Trump.

The report, initially drafted in 2017, provides a thorough examination of Putin’s apparent preference for Trump during that campaign year.

Gabbard stated that Trump had ordered the declassification of this document, which allegedly debunks claims made by the Obama administration in January 2017, suggesting that Putin aided Trump’s election victory.

“Those in power conspired to undermine the American people’s will, collaborating with the media to spread falsehoods aimed at delegitimizing President Trump,” she said.

The report faced criticism from some within the CIA, particularly former director John Brennan, with five analysts expressing concerns about the reliability of the information used in the original Intelligence Community Assessments from that time, as reported by the Washington Examiner.

Gabbard mentioned that earlier intelligence assessments indicated that Russia lacked both the intent and capability to interfere in U.S. elections, adding that Putin did not favor either candidate.

Yet, Gabbard contended that Obama ordered such intelligence briefings be altered, subsequently meeting with FBI Director James Comey and Brennan. The former president allegedly insisted on obtaining new assessments to support claims of election interference.

The newly released report indicates that the CIA failed to uphold analytical standards, instead resorting to scant, ambiguous fragments of information to support a narrative detrimental to Trump’s legitimacy.

Gabbard further condemned the findings, describing them as “the most alarming weaponization and politicization of intelligence in American history.”

On the day prior to this report’s release, President Trump shared his thoughts on Truth Social, asserting, “Obama himself initiated the Russian hoax, with crooked Hillary, sleepy Joe, and others involved in significant wrongdoing.”

Moreover, Gabbard has highlighted a document that outlines Putin’s choice to withhold information that could negatively impact Hillary Clinton before the 2016 election, suggesting she faced serious emotional distress during that time.

“The report indicates that Putin held back compromising information on Clinton, choosing instead to release it after her presumed victory, potentially attempting to undermine her presidency instead,” Gabbard explained.

She continued, “A January 2017 Intelligence Community assessment directed by President Obama and high-ranking officials deliberately minimized information proving that Putin had refrained from dispersing harmful material about Clinton.”

Gabbard also shared details from internal DNC emails that allegedly addressed Clinton’s emotional challenges, claiming that the intelligence community misrepresented facts to fabricate a narrative that Putin had a clear and unwelcome preference for Trump.

Gabbard confirmed that Obama has been referred to the Department of Justice regarding possible criminal charges. However, this does not imply that formal charges have been made, and there has been no indication that the DOJ is currently pursuing an investigation into Obama.
