Nicole Kidman Aims for a Permanent Move to Portugal
Nicole Kidman, the Oscar-winning actress aged 58, is looking to establish a long-term residence in Portugal. This move indicates her desire to spend more time in a sun-soaked locale.
Recently, the “Babygirl” star submitted her residency application, which includes various documents related to migration and asylum, as reported by a local media outlet.
Kidman was seen arriving in Cascais, a luxurious seaside area near Lisbon, and is currently exploring beautiful properties within some of Portugal’s most exclusive communities. Notably, her husband Keith Urban appears to have played a lesser role in the application process.
She’s reportedly eyeing the Costara Golf and Ocean Club, a lavish development about 81 miles south of Lisbon. This picturesque area is popular among Hollywood figures like George Clooney and Paris Hilton, and it is also home to Princess Eugenie from the British royal family.
The same development has drawn rumors that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have purchased a property there last year, with reports suggesting they reside in one of the 300 homes within the complex, each worth upwards of $4.7 million.
Costella belongs to Discoveryland Company, co-founded by Mike Meldman, who, along with George Clooney, invested in the billion-dollar tequila brand Casamigos.
While Urban hasn’t submitted his own application, Portuguese television noted that he and Kidman may already possess a stunning residence in Lisbon.
The couple, who have two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, aged 17 and 15, respectively, often divide their time between the US and Australia, with Europe likely becoming part of their rotation.
Since getting married in 2006, Kidman and Urban have cultivated a remarkable international real estate portfolio. They have two penthouses in a high-end building in North Sydney that they merged into one expansive condo.
Just a year after tying the knot, they bought a 36-acre property in Franklin, Tennessee for over $3 million. The following year, they upgraded to a luxurious mansion in Nashville’s upscale Northumberland community, further expanding their impressive holdings across Manhattan, Sydney, and New South Wales.
