Timeline of Hulk Hogan’s Death Released by Clearwater Police
On Thursday, the Clearwater Police Department, led by Major Nate Burnside, shared a timeline detailing their response to the death of legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan in 1971.
The 911 call came in at 9:51 AM on Thursday, prompting immediate medical assistance. Medics arrived at the 1000 block of Eldora Door Avenue in Clearwater Beach at 9:56 AM.
The police mentioned that the nature of the emergency was cardiac arrest.
Further police requests were made at 10:19 AM, with responders reaching Hogan just four minutes later. Hogan’s real name was Terry Borea.
“At the scene, it was found that Terry Borea, recognized as Hulk Hogan, was in serious medical distress,” Burnside stated during a press conference on Thursday.
The Clearwater Fire Team quickly attended to Hogan before transporting him to Morton Factory Hospital in Clearwater at 10:32 AM.
A clip surfaced showing responders carrying Hogan from his home on a stretcher and administering chest compressions.
Tragically, Hogan passed away at 11:17 AM ET.
Jimmy Hart, a longtime friend and wrestling manager, had commented earlier in the week that Hogan was “doing great things,” despite conflicting reports regarding his health.
“The Clearwater Police Department is conducting a death investigation, as is customary in such cases,” Burnside explained on Thursday.

“Currently, there are no signs of foul play or any suspicious circumstances related to the emergency call. Our team is focused on providing support to the family. I urge everyone to respect their privacy during this challenging time,” he added.

Hogan played a pivotal role in popularizing wrestling, and his “Hulkamania” era reshaped WWE, making it a household name.
After his time with WCW and the introduction of the notorious NWO Stable, his villainous turn became a landmark moment in wrestling history.
Hogan’s legacy includes memorable moments like teaming up with Mr. T at WrestleMania I at Madison Square Garden.
The WWE shared its condolences on X, stating, “We are saddened to learn of WWE Hall of Famer Hogan’s passing.”
