Gabbard Accuses Obama of Bias in Russia Collusion Claims
National Intelligence Director Tarshi Gabbard has suggested that former President Barack Obama influenced his administration regarding what she termed the “absolute failure” of veterinary reports used to support claims of Russian collusion with the 2016 Trump campaign.
On Saturday, Gabbard stated, “The unpleasant conspiracy we just made public to Americans—the accomplices, biases, the politicians, the mainstream media, and the silence of those directly involved—speaks volumes.”
Earlier, President Trump had called for criminal charges against Obama, alleging that he ordered a report on Russia’s interference intended to facilitate a victory for Russia in the 2016 election.
Trump referenced documents that were declassified just last week.
In response, Obama’s office dismissed the allegations, arguing they’re an attempt to divert attention from ongoing issues related to the administration’s management of the Epstein Files.
Patrick Rodenbush, a spokesman for Obama, remarked, “By respecting the presidency, our office typically does not dignify the continuous nonsense and misinformation that comes from this White House.” However, he found the claims outrageous enough to merit a response, labeling them “strange” and “ridiculous distractions.”
He further stated that the newly released document undermines the prevalent belief that Russia sought to influence the 2016 election, noting it failed to manipulate the actual voting process.
During her Fox appearance, Gabbard criticized Obama’s response, indicating it sidestepped the real issues at hand. “President Obama’s carefully worded rebuttal once again fails to confront the revealed truth,” she said.
She further questioned whether the details of this supposed failure would ever be acknowledged, emphasizing the importance of examining the origins of the intelligence reports.
On Friday, Gabbard submitted a criminal referral regarding Obama to Attorney General Pam Bondy.
