Johnny Depp Joins Alice Cooper to Honor Ozzy Osbourne
In a surprising turn of events, Johnny Depp appeared at a concert featuring Alice Cooper in London on Friday. This special performance was a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, just days after his passing. Depp, channeling his Captain Jack Sparrow persona with a scarf and sunglasses, played guitar during the lively rendition of “Paranoid,” captivating the audience.
One concert-goer shared on social media, “A lovely homage to Ozzy by Alice Cooper featuring Johnny Depp last night,” posting a video of the performance. Another user expressed excitement, saying, “I saw Johnny Depp in London last night. His appearance at the Alice Cooper gig was unexpected and thrilling.”
Cooper humorously introduced Depp as “the man we found in an alley where we said something about a vampire.” For those who might not know, both artists are part of the band Hollywood Vampires.
“This is for Ozzy!” Cooper shouted to the crowd, wearing an Ozzy Osbourne t-shirt as he finished the song. Later, Depp performed the classic “School’s Out” with the band, following the homage to Osbourne, who had recently passed away at the age of 76 after battling various health issues including Parkinson’s disease.
Osbourne’s death deeply affected the music community. Cooper remarked, “Even if we saw everyone coming with Ozzy, we exhale when it happened,” reflecting the emotional weight of the occasion.
Following the concert, Cooper summarized the sentiments felt by many, stating, “The whole world is lamenting Ozzy tonight. Over his long career, he has earned great respect as a legendary showman and cultural icon among his peers and fans worldwide.” He also noted that Osbourne embodied a blend of “the Prince of Darkness” and “The Clown of the Court,” emphasizing his complex persona.
