Hulk Hogan Remembered Following His Passing
The wrestling community is mourning the loss of Hulk Hogan, who died last Thursday at 71.
This tragic event prompted reflection among many, including wrestling legend Rick Flair, who suggested Hogan might have simply been “just tired” after enduring numerous medical issues.
Flair discussed Hogan’s death during an appearance on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” where he shared his thoughts after speaking with Hogan’s friend, Jimmy Hart, just the day before.
“I had just talked to Jimmy, and while I hadn’t spoken directly to Hulk, everything seemed fine. I knew he had some health challenges, but I thought it was manageable,” Flair expressed.
“I think he’s just tired. It’s a lot to bear with 11 back surgeries, hip replacements, and now neck surgery. How much can a body endure? We’ve all faced some tough situations in this business,” he added.
Flair also spoke candidly about his own health struggles, revealing that he has skin cancer but remains relatively pain-free. “I’m five years older than Hulk, and I don’t hurt at all. I’ve had serious health issues, sure, but I worry—what if I’m next?” he said.
A 911 call was made for Hogan at 9:51 AM on Thursday, and responders arrived shortly thereafter. He was transported to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater at 10:32 AM, where he passed away less than an hour later.
WWE paid tribute to Hogan during an emotional episode of SmackDown. His son took to social media, sharing heartfelt words by calling his father a “hero” and “best friend.”
