Oasis members Liam and Noel Gallagher's brother, Paul, accused of rape

Paul Gallagher Charged with Multiple Crimes

Paul Gallagher, the elder brother of Oasis members Liam and Noel Gallagher, faces serious charges including rape.

Along with the rape charge, London’s Metropolitan Police have also accused him of two counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, acts of coercive control, and a threat involving actual physical harm.

According to Scotland Yard, which oversees the majority of London’s policing, these alleged incidents took place between 2022 and 2024.

Paul, who is older than Noel by a year and seven years older than Liam, is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court in London on August 27th. He hasn’t entered any pleas yet.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “The charges stem from an investigation that commenced in 2024. The woman involved is being supported by specially trained officers.”

At 59, Paul grew up alongside his musician brothers in Burnage, Manchester, though his current connection with them is not publicly known.

He has never participated in the band, which is currently on a hugely successful reunion tour.

Since 2004, Paul has lived in East Finchley, in an apartment that was purchased for him by Noel that same year.

The Crown Prosecutor’s Office, represented by Kate Bacchus, confirmed to the Post, “Following the police investigation, we can verify that Paul Gallagher is facing charges for rape and other offenses.” The statement added that he is also charged with assault, coercive conduct, and threats of violence.

Bacchus further stated, “It’s crucial to note that these criminal proceedings are ongoing, and Mr. Gallagher is entitled to a fair trial.”

She emphasized that any reporting or sharing of information online that might jeopardize these proceedings is highly discouraged.

The “Wonderwall” musician, who has three performances scheduled at Wembley Stadium in London, continues his tour but has not yet addressed the allegations involving his brothers.
