Jena Sims Shares Thoughts on ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ and Brooks Koepka

Jena Sims is a bit fed up with the recurring notion that her husband, golfer Brooks Koepka, simply made a cameo in Netflix’s “Happy Gilmore 2.” On Monday night, she took to TikTok to clarify his role in the film, where he was prominently featured alongside other golf stars.

“When I actually auditioned for Happy Gilmore 2, everyone thinks I’m in it for my husband,” Sims shared in her video. It seems like there’s been some misunderstanding regarding her presence in the movie.

In fact, Brooks Koepka was part of a segment that showcased a lot of well-known golfers, including legends like Jack Nicklaus and Nick Faldo, as well as various athletes and entertainers like Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny, totaling a whopping 74 cameos.

Sims describes herself as a dedicated golf fan who played an opposing character to Sandler’s iconic character, Happy Gilmore. Meanwhile, Koepka represented a golfer competing against the fictional “Maxi Golf” league. He appeared alongside fellow Liv Golf star Bryson DeChambeau and other PGA Tour stars, such as Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.

Interestingly, Sims also reflected on how she helped Koepka navigate his acting debut. “It felt like he was stepping into my world,” she noted. “I had to teach him how to read a script and find certain things in the script. It was cool to see him get out of his comfort zone because that rarely happens.”

Sims, who has a background in acting and modeling, got married to Koepka in 2022. Her experiences in the film seem to blend her passions—acting and an appreciation for golf—into a unique chapter in their lives.
