The 30-second ad shared on social media highlights Casalegno’s humorous take on how his tan is attributed to genetics. He quips about not asking to be “King of Summer,” adding, “This tan? Genetics.”
“I can’t help with that. Every time I drink a Golden Hour Refresher, it’s like the sun finds me,” he muses, promoting the new summer drink, a mix of tropical fruit and lemonade.
Left-leaning commentators quickly criticized the advertisement, questioning the emphasis on genetics. One viewer remarked on the Dunkin’ video, “Why are ads suddenly so obsessed with genetics?”
Another commenter connected it to Sweeney’s earlier ads, highlighting a sense of escalating outrage.
