Tennessee Manhunt: Search underway for suspect in four murders after abandoned infant discovered in car seat on lawn

Manhunt Underway in Tennessee Following Tragic Discovery

A search is currently active in Tennessee for a man suspected of murder. This follows the alarming discovery of a seven-month-old toddler abandoned in a car on the front lawn of a residence.

The authorities are looking for 28-year-old Austin Robert Drummond. As of Tuesday, a total of 15 individuals were reported dead, including victims such as 21-year-old James M. Wilson and 20-year-old Adriana Williams. Courtney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams were also mentioned among the deceased, according to the Dyer County Police Department.

Danny Goodman Jr., Attorney General for the 29th Judicial District of Tennessee, mentioned that the four victims were related to Drummond’s current girlfriend. It seems that Rose and Adriana are half-sisters, while Braydon is the nephew of Wilson.

The search intensified after local residents phoned 911 upon noticing the infant left alone. Goodman noted, “When that call came in, obviously the first thing we started doing was finding parents for our children.”

Authorities quickly took to social media, sharing the baby’s image in hopes of identifying the child, who, at seven months old, has ties to one of the victims.

Goodman revealed that Drummond has a previous conviction for armed robbery from when he was 17. Despite that, he was released from prison, even with ongoing charges related to attempted murder.

There’s “strong evidence,” according to Goodman, that links Drummond to the scene of the crime.

Drummond is now facing serious charges, including first-degree murder, four counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Local officials are urging the community to remain vigilant. Drummond is considered “armed and dangerous,” described as about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 190 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes, and a goatee. He may be driving a 2016 Audi A3 with noticeable damage on the driver’s side, bearing Tennessee license plate RI 01896.

Police have announced a $15,000 reward for any information leading to Drummond’s capture.

Anyone with details on Drummond’s whereabouts is encouraged to reach out to the Dyer County Police Department at (731)-285-2802 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.
