Obama's involvement in Russiagate: Correspondence

Former President Barack Obama and the Russian Collusion Narrative

There’s a notable point made about Martin Gurri’s analysis of “Obamagate” regarding how in 2016, Obama was partly responsible for advancing the narrative of Russian collusion.

It’s interesting—maybe even ironic—that while President Trump was labeled a “threat to democracy,” the real damage may have come from Obama and those close to him. Some even argue that the abuse of power during his administration surpasses that of Richard Nixon.

The fact that this supposed betrayal didn’t stem from a clear criminal act feels almost irrelevant. Honor and losses, in this context, seem harmful and unjust. Meanwhile, legacy media has played a role in this narrative, perpetuating the idea that “democracy dies in the darkness.” It’s quite a statement, isn’t it?

Those of us labeled as “threatening democracy” or “silly” are now catching a breath of truth, thanks in part to Martin Gurri’s efforts to shed light on the Russiagate controversy.

Historically, the pursuit of power has led to the downfall of many societies. As we reflect on this pattern, perhaps our freedoms and values can act as safeguards against a similar fate.

The tale of Icarus comes to mind—he met his end when his wax wings melted, but somehow, democracy still stands.

In 2020, the Senate Intelligence Committee, chaired by Marco Rubio, stated there was clear evidence of collusion between Donald Trump’s campaign and the Russian government during the 2016 election. They also confirmed Russia’s interference attempts, which President Obama warned the public about.

This seems like another tactic from the government to divert attention from internal issues. It’s confusing, really.

Mainstream media has been obsessed with Obama throughout his presidency, often without criticism. This dynamic seems like a longstanding romance; despite knowing that he orchestrated a misleading effort regarding his successor’s win, the infatuation persists.

Trump’s assertions about Obama challenge the narrative that history is always defined by the victors—especially when evidence based on past actions emerges.

It’s not particularly shocking to learn more about Obama’s connection to the Russian narrative. His background, where he emerged from a politically corrupt Chicago, adds layers to the story. He promised health care access but misled many in the process.

Interestingly, Michelle Obama has noted that her mother distrusts those who take more than they need, and now, looking at Barack’s considerable wealth, one might ponder if that skepticism had merit.

The legacy media seems eager for the public to forget the Russian conspiracy narrative they pushed. They’ve even garnered accolades for it, which is perplexing. I say it’s time for accountability.

Investigations into the Obama administration’s actions during a 2016 meeting at the White House should be prioritized, as Republicans shouldn’t forget the series of events that challenged an elected president.

It’s hardly surprising to see Obama implicated in the Russian “hoax.” Back in February 2017, Paul Sperry shed light on Obama’s “organization for action,” which aimed to mobilize supporters to obstruct Trump.

It makes one question whether the American public has gained any new insights today.
