WNBA Game Disrupted by Unusual Incident
A rather bizarre situation unfolded during a WNBA game involving the Golden State Valkyries, as neon green dildos made their way onto the court. This occurred during a game against the Chicago Sky, which was halted in the third quarter when one of these objects was thrown onto the playing area. Game officials promptly stopped play to remove the item before resuming the match.
Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham expressed frustration over the incident, pleading with fans to “stop throwing dildos on the court.” However, Angel Reese, from Cunningham’s team, took responsibility for at least one of the tossed items alongside teammate Kate Linklark.
On social media, Reese playfully addressed her teammate Sydney Colson, questioning why she kept tossing the “average greenery” into different arenas. Colson responded by sharing a smirking photo of herself in a green jacket, hinting at the lighthearted nature of their exchanges.
The two had previously joked about Reese’s bonus after winning the championship, with Colson playfully suggesting she should receive some of that money for her own needs.
In a follow-up post, Colson checked on Reese, offering her support and jokingly mentioning the $50,000 bonus again. Reese, however, clarified that since she was a rookie, that amount represented more than half of her contract, leading her to keep it for herself.
As of now, it’s unclear if any spectators faced repercussions for the object-throwing incident during the game.
