Prince Harry has denied accusations of a physical confrontation with Prince Andrew, which supposedly arose from comments that Andrew made regarding Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle.
A representative for Harry stated, “We can confirm that neither is true.” This denial follows claims about the alleged altercation that supposedly took place over ten years ago, as reported recently.
According to the statement, “Prince Harry and Prince Andrew never had a physical battle, and Prince Andrew never commented on Prince Harry regarding the Duchess of Sussex.”
This denial came shortly after excerpts from a new book about Prince Andrew were published, detailing various claims about the royal family, including that of a supposed altercation.
The book reportedly stated that there was a “heartbreak” at a family occasion in 2013, suggesting that words spoken “behind Harry’s back” led to a fight. It also claimed Andrew, who has faced backlash due to his ties with Jeffrey Epstein, called Markle an “opportunist” and predicted the end of their marriage.
Other claims from the book indicated that “a punch was thrown,” resulting in Andrew having a bloody nose.
These latest allegations come amidst ongoing tensions between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and other royal family members.
Since their wedding in 2018, the couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020, relocating to Montecito, California.
In a previous memoir, Harry described a rather alarming encounter, saying, “It all happened very quickly. So fast,” where he alleged that he was attacked during a conflict.
Despite the disharmony, there are hints of a potential resolution. Recently, aides for King Charles III and Harry reportedly held a “Secret Peace Summit” in London to discuss matters.
A source noted, “There’s a long way ahead, but the channels of communication are open for the first time in years.” The meeting was described as casual, with no formal agenda, indicating a willingness to converse.
Moreover, Harry has indicated a readiness to share his official schedule with the royal family as a conciliatory gesture towards his brother and the king.
Amidst all this, it seems Harry and Meghan are enjoying their life in California, with recent sightings of them at the beach with family.
