Elizabeth Holmes and Ghislaine Maxwell Share a Prison
Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, was spotted jogging in a Texas prison that also recently became home to Ghislaine Maxwell. This comes after Maxwell’s transfer to the facility.
At 41, Holmes is currently serving an 11-year sentence for misleading investors while running Theranos, a blood-testing company that ceased operations in 2018. She was sentenced in 2022 after being found guilty on three counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy.
Meanwhile, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is 63, was moved to this Texas facility from a federal correctional location in Florida. The exact reasons behind her transfer remain unclear, although it has been noted that she and her attorney met with Associate Attorney General Todd Blanche prior to her relocation.
Holmes was seen in a gray shirt and shorts during her jog on August 2, 2025, along with gloves and a hat typical for workouts at a federal prison.
Maxwell’s legal team has been vocal about seeking some form of clemency or amnesty from President Trump, who has not dismissed the notion but also stated that he hasn’t received any formal requests. There have been discussions about Maxwell potentially testifying before Congress in exchange for immunity, though the situation is still developing.
In contrast to Holmes, who was convicted for her fraudulent activities at Theranos, Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for crimes related to aiding the sexual misconduct of Jeffrey Epstein, and she is not set to be released until 2037.
