Brothel manager shares foolish errors men make that lead to their capture

A brothel manager has shared a rather “silly” mistake that can lead to men getting caught by their wives or girlfriends after visiting adult venues.

Catherine DeNoir, who has been managing one of Europe’s biggest brothels for the last nine years, noted that many conflicts arise when husbands utilize these services, often leading their partners to suspect something amiss.

In an interview, she mentioned that one of the most common blunders is when men leave their location on their phones or withdraw large sums of cash from a shared bank account at the brothel ATM.

DeNoir stated that “bonus points” are given when a man transfers money directly from a joint account without hiding it well.

“It may sound simple, but many men just stop thinking clearly when going to brothels. It’s like common sense evaporates,” she observed.

However, she also pointed out that some clients are skilled at covering up their activities. They often visit during their lunch breaks, which can raise suspicion if they suddenly turn off their location services—especially if their partners are tracking their whereabouts.

“They should always pay in cash and avoid withdrawals nearby; receipts and tickets are a dead giveaway,” DeNoir advised. She added that many clients, after their sessions, also take care to wash up to eliminate any scent or residue.

Interestingly, DeNoir mentioned that sometimes partners come to confront their husbands outside the brothel, knowing they’re inside. There was a case where a woman, just a week before her wedding, insisted on viewing CCTV footage after finding brothel tickets in her fiancé’s pocket.

“She really wanted to verify if he had been there that day,” DeNoir recalled.

She expressed her discomfort with showing security footage, emphasizing, “That’s just not something I can do.” The fiancé had claimed innocence, insisting he was only dragged to the place by friends, but it appeared the wedding was called off regardless.

From her experience, DeNoir noted that many women are left feeling angry, upset, and betrayed, questioning their partner’s commitment to monogamy.

“He was just floored when she confronted him about it. His excuses included being dragged there by friends or just waiting at the bar,” she recounted.

DeNoir shared that men often venture into brothels even when they are in seemingly happy relationships. She noted, “Some guys love their wives but feel like the sexual spark is gone. Rather than pressuring their partners into something uncomfortable, they find it safer to explore these desires with professionals.”

Further, she highlighted how some men use these visits to experiment with fantasies or simply for personal reasons, feeling the need to “be champions” in their own way.

When it comes to the question of infidelity, DeNoir reflected, “I really can’t say. Every relationship has its own dynamics and agreements.” Some couples, she pointed out, thrive in open relationships, so it’s not fair to assume that every married individual visiting a brothel is cheating.
