Sea Trolls Caught in a Close Encounter with a Grizzly in Alaska
In Alaska, sea trolls have found themselves in a bit of a tricky situation.
The Seattle Kraken, along with their mascots, docked for a community initiative, giving a boost to the local sea troll scene. But excitement quickly turned to caution when a grizzly bear charged, creating quite the spectacle.
The team organized a special event for fans in Alaska, in collaboration with the Bristol Bay Native Corporation during the Anchorage Fly Fishing event at Brooks Falls.
“Every year, we aim to do something unique in Alaska,” noted Melissa O’Brochta, Kraken’s Partnership Marketing Director. “A few years back, we took a buoy on a glacial helicopter ride. Recently, we’ve been fishing in Anchorage, but this year, we’re trying fly fishing at Brooks Falls.”
Brooks Falls is famed for its picturesque views; if you’ve ever seen a bear catching salmon, chances are it was taken here.
While the bears are usually the stars of the show, the Kraken were hoping to film some engaging content in the beautiful Alaskan wilderness when an unexpected bear encounter took center stage.
During the fishing expedition, the crew, including Bui and John Hayden, suddenly found themselves close to a bear. The fishing guide promptly alerted everyone, and as they were about to evacuate the water, the grizzly started advancing toward them.
It seems the bear might have been intrigued by the buoy’s quirky look.
“I think it was the buoy that caught the bear’s eye. We definitely thought it was going to be a close call,” Hayden remarked.
After the tension eased, Hayden humorously reflected on the incident. “It was kind of funny in hindsight, but definitely a close encounter.” The buoy’s official social media account reassured everyone that neither the trolls nor the bears were harmed, emphasizing the importance of respecting wildlife in their natural surroundings.
