When a man is executed, he screams in pain
A man on death row in Tennessee, Byron Black, expressed clear discomfort during his execution. At 69 years old, he faced lethal injection on Tuesday, following a conviction in 1988 for the murder of his girlfriend and her two young daughters. Legal disputes had arisen regarding an implanted defibrillator, which raised questions about the execution process and its potential effects as the lethal substances entered his system.
Witnesses reported that he moaned as he lay down, clutching his chest. He was pronounced dead just 10 minutes after the injection was given.
Black’s legal team plans to look into the matter further, arguing that the drugs were ineffective, contrary to assessments made by state experts.
Clinton was summoned in the Epstein case of the house
The saga surrounding Jeffrey Epstein continues with a new subpoena issued. The House Oversight Committee, led by Republicans, has requested testimonies from nearly a dozen former federal officials and politicians, including Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Chairman James Kommer highlighted Clinton’s travel history, noting he flew on Epstein’s planes several times in the early 2000s, with one trip involving a victim of Epstein’s misconduct.
After Epstein’s arrest for sex trafficking in 2019, Clinton claimed he hadn’t contacted Epstein for over ten years and was unaware of his illegal activities.
Meanwhile, former President Trump, who had previously associated with Epstein, also distanced himself from the situation after allegations against the financier became public.
The subpoenas for Hillary and Bill Clinton are scheduled for October 9th and 14th, respectively.
Scarlett Johansson doesn’t have a big bad wolf
The USDA is exploring innovative methods to help ranchers guard their livestock against wolves. Recently, drones equipped with infrared cameras have played a role in monitoring potential wolf activity.
But how do ranchers keep the wolves away from their cattle?
Interestingly, the answer involves Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver. Reports suggest that drones are being used to play audio clips from their arguments in the film “Marriage Story” in an effort to scare predators off.
Additionally, classic rock tunes, like AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” have shown promise in repelling wolves.
The initiative started as a non-lethal approach to mitigating wolf encounters, particularly since the American grey wolf is classified as an endangered species.
