Brooke Hogan Remembers Her Father, Hulk Hogan, in a Unique Tribute

Brooke Hogan, the renowned daughter of WWE superstar Hulk Hogan, did not attend her father’s private funeral in Florida on Tuesday. Instead, she opted for what she felt was a more genuine way to pay homage to him.

Brooke, who is married to former NHL player Stephen Olexi, shared her decision to skip the intimate gathering on social media the same day as the funeral. She expressed her gratitude for the various celebrations organized in her father’s honor, acknowledging that he wasn’t fond of traditional funerals.

“My father despised the idea of funerals. He never wanted one,” she wrote. “While I appreciate the efforts made to celebrate him, I felt a different approach was fitting as his daughter.”

In her Instagram posts, she shared moments of joy spent at the beach with Olexi and their twins, reflecting on how they honored her father’s love for the ocean. “Daddy, we celebrated you in the simplest way we knew how. We brought the kids to the beach and introduced them to the same salty water you cherished. Molly loved it,” she mentioned, hinting at a close bond with her father.

Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24th after suffering a heart attack at his Clearwater, Florida home. He was 71 years old and had been dealing with a heart condition called atrial fibrillation.

Over the years, Brooke and Hulk’s relationship became complex. In her touching tribute, she remarked, “We never had a grand fight; rather, it was a series of private moments that few understood.” This complexity adds layers to their bond that many might find relatable.

On the day of the funeral, friends and family gathered at Indian Rocks Church, a significant location where Hulk was baptized in 2023. Notable attendees included wrestling legends like Paul “Triple H” Levesque and former WWE co-CEO Stephanie McMahon, along with celebrities like Kid Rock and Bam Margera.
