Brooke Hogan Reflects on Her Father’s Absence at His Funeral
Brooke Hogan recently shared that her father, Hulk Hogan, did not attend his own funeral on Tuesday. In a heartfelt message on Instagram, she expressed her thoughts shortly after an additional service in Florida.
“My father really disliked the idea of funerals. He never wanted that,” she mentioned. “I know this has affected many people, but I’m truly thankful for all the celebrations that were held in his honor. As his daughter, I felt it was important to find my own way to pay tribute to him… I had to do what felt right for me.”
Brooke shared lovely beach photos with her husband and their seven-month-old twins, Oliver and Molly, reflecting on the day. “He was the only one missing today. Just look at the waves and set up your lawn chairs… and the sunset 💔,” she wrote.
“Daddy, we celebrated you in the simplest way we could, which felt right for my soul. We took the babies to the beach and put them in the same salty water you loved,” she added.
Considering her father’s passion for the ocean, she noted, “Molly loves the water. Maybe she’ll turn into a ‘little fish,’ just like you once called me.”
In her message, she continued, “We cherish you and respect what made you unique. Each grain of sand and every wave reminded us that we are a baby on your beach, bringing us closer to you.”
Brooke concluded with a touching note, “I pray you’re at peace, and I know how much I love you dearly. Rest in heaven, Daddy❤️.”
She also appeared on the Baba the Love Sponge radio show that same day, expressing doubt about the narrative surrounding her father’s death. She mentioned that despite her closeness to him, the doctors claimed he had leukemia and didn’t inform her beforehand. Brooke emphasized her concerns over these claims, particularly since there wasn’t an autopsy performed.
The funeral saw many notable attendees, such as former NBA player Dennis Rodman and MMA fighter Tito Ortiz, alongside wrestling personalities like Triple H and Ted Dibiase.
