Why Texas needs to begin arresting traitors in America's quiet civil conflict

Texas, don’t you dare dangle a good time in front of me.

If you’re looking to issue an arrest warrant for someone labeled a Democrat traitor, it’s probably best if you just go ahead and make an arrest. We’re all busy enough as it is, or at least we should be.

If we don’t stand up for what is right, for truth, and for decent people, we’re facing dangers that go way beyond elections.

What we’re dealing with isn’t just political dysfunction. It’s more like a cold civil war, and, honestly, it’s about time we acknowledged that. It’s like we’re stuck in some theoretical framework of war.

Not in this reality.

Augustine laid the groundwork for the concept of a Christianized Roman Empire. His ideas from “The City of God” contrast the human city with a higher calling. Right now, the U.S. needs to reestablish that tradition, moving back toward fundamental principles that are designed by God, rather than just rationalizing wrongdoing for the sake of good.

To what degree will we achieve that shining city on a hill envisioned by our founders, whose own lives were far from perfect? The principles that defined such a vision have existed long before our American experiments, implying we relied on clear, self-evident truths rather than trying to reinvent the wheel.

We have a responsibility to uphold our worldview’s integrity, regardless of what some timid pastor in a stylish sweater might tell you. When the natural laws of God are attacked, our biblical command is to provide a beacon of hope within ourselves.

If we fail to do so, we don’t just lose hope; we welcome despair instead. This is increasingly evident. We have to choose the path of strength and compassion, particularly when it comes to our children.

Yes, Trump won in 2024, but let’s not kid ourselves. We’re still under siege.

A new “Just War” theory

This context is why we need a fresh perspective on warfare for America today.

It’s the spirit of our times that’s deliberately dismantled the social contract that once brought us together, primarily through the actions of the Democrats. This same spirit shows no intention to restore that bond, both in policy and in rhetoric.

We no longer respect traditions, legal illusions, or gestures from committees that don’t actually bind us. Pretending otherwise means acknowledging a cold civil war—or igniting a heated conflict that our children will be forced to endure.

We should shield them from that. We undertake difficult actions now, so they can live freely in the future.

Our new engagement rules are clear: Anything necessary to win, except what the ultimate judge of destiny specifically prohibits. Otherwise, we should act with the utmost resolve whenever required.

When our side prevails and the other side falters, we can hope for a cold civil war.

The stance from the Mike Pence School of Summit is no longer about being the “good guys.” Those arguments don’t hold water anymore. We will no longer debate whether the earth is flat.

Our domestic foes harbor hatred towards us; they want to enslave our children. We must confront them—and without any apologies.

Our foes are enduring

Remember those iconic lines from “Independence Day”? It’s a call for us to fight fiercely for our freedom, not just against tyranny, oppression, or annihilation. It’s for the right to simply exist. We won’t go quietly into the night!

If a fictional U.S. president can rally us with such words, maybe we should consider what that means for our real lives.

That’s the core message. And after enduring hardship and rising to shout “Fight, fight, fight!”, that’s the spirit Donald Trump embodies—body and soul.

All tactics and strategies should be viewed through that lens.

Because if we don’t advocate for the good, the true, and the beautiful, we’re in far greater peril than just elections. We’re placing our eternal souls at risk.

Yes, we need to start enforcing laws against traitors in Texas, and that should be just the beginning, motivated by our love for God, our children, and our future.
