Dean Cain, known for his role as Superman, says he is joining Immigration and Customs Enforcement to help 'Save America'

Actor Dean Cain, known for his role as Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, announced on Wednesday his decision to join immigration and customs enforcement to “help save America.” However, federal officials have not verified his enlistment with the agency.

The 59-year-old actor and filmmaker shared his intentions on social media, emphasizing the importance of working alongside first responders. He mentioned, “It’s crucial to take action rather than just talk about it and ensure the safety of all Americans.”

“Since President Trump assumed office, ICE has apprehended hundreds of thousands of criminals, including terrorists, rapists, murderers, pedophiles, gang members, and drug dealers,” he continued.

Cain, who also hosts “Ripley’s Believe It or Not,” said his decision was a response to a call to action from Kristi Noem at the Department of Homeland Security.

According to a report from PAM Key of Breitbart News, Cain mentioned on “Jesse Waters Primetime” that he previously served as a deputy sheriff and reserve police officer.

“Your country is calling on you to serve at ICE. We need dedicated individuals to address the challenges presented by the current administration’s immigration policies,” Secretary Kristi Noem stated on July 29. “This is a crucial time in our country’s history.”

Officials indicated that funding to hire 10,000 new ICE agents has come from a significant bill recently passed. There will be recruitment initiatives featuring “patriotic posters” and efforts to draw in the next generation of law enforcement professionals to tackle illegal immigration effectively.

The recruitment campaign will also include various incentive programs, such as:

  • Sign-on bonuses of up to $50,000
  • Student loan repayment and forgiveness options
  • 25% salary increase for HSI Special Agents (LEAP)
  • Overtime opportunities for Deportation Officers
  • Enhanced retirement benefits

While ICE officials have not confirmed Cain’s claim of enlistment, his focus appears to be on the agency and its hiring efforts. Cain, at 59, surpasses the typical age limit of 37 for new recruits, although the policy does allow exceptions for former federal law enforcement officers. Cain asserts he has a decade of experience; however, it’s unclear if those credentials will be accepted.

Breitbart Texas has reached out to DHS and ICE for additional information regarding Cain’s statements, but no response was available at the time of this article’s publication.

“So, if you want to help save America, ICE is working to arrest the most dangerous individuals and remove them from our streets,” Cain concluded.
