Harrowing experiences of mistreatment and exploitation

A troubling case from the Bronx involves a group accused of robbing, assaulting, and sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl. They allegedly lured her into a dangerous situation via an online dating app, a scenario that quickly turned into a nightmare for the teen.

The young victim has since stepped forward to testify against her attackers, and now ten individuals are facing serious felony charges. This case, according to the Bronx District Attorney, has roots that stretch from late 2022 through early 2024 as they allegedly trafficked the girl for sex in Atlantic City.

District Attorney Darcel Clark noted, “This young girl endured horrifying experiences fueled by abuse and exploitation starting with dating apps.” She praised the teen’s courage in revealing the traffickers’ identities during proceedings at the courthouse.

Prosecutors revealed that the girl encountered 49-year-old Tessine Green through a dating app, which marked the beginning of several distressing months.

Allegations suggest that shortly after their meeting, Green and his accomplices manipulated the teen into engaging with online clients whom they referred to as “Johns,” often giving her drugs before appointments and keeping the money she earned.

In a harrowing twist, the victim was also coerced into selling encounters to those who paid to abuse her. The accused utilized various tactics to monitor her whereabouts and plans.

In October 2023, two co-defendants from Queens, Jamel Cameron and Brianna Jamison, reportedly kept the teen confined at a motel after arranging one of these exploitative meetings through an adult site.

In total, ten individuals face multiple charges including child trafficking, promoting prostitution, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Tessine Green is currently incarcerated in New Jersey, awaiting proceedings related to his Bronx arrest.

Cameron, aged 30, is being held on a cash bail of $150,000 or a bond of $300,000, while 27-year-old Jamison faced a $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond, according to legal updates.

Additionally, Joshua Green, 38, Tecine’s uncle, has a set bail of $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond.

The other six defendants—Chandelbrigs, Louis Muisela, Dale Gordon, Jaquan Cherry, John Adebiy, and Richard Stanley—are facing charges but were released without bail.

Clark emphasized the importance of support for trafficking victims, stating, “Help is available to those in these situations. We can assist you in escaping this nightmare.”
