Head on over to Cracker Barrel

Bravo star Jennifer Welch has sparked controversy by criticizing Donald Trump supporters who dine at restaurants featuring diverse cuisines like Indian, Chinese, and Mexican. She seems to suggest a disconnect between their political stance and their patronage of businesses owned by immigrants targeted by Trump’s policies, cheekily instructing them to instead frequent more traditional establishments.

In her latest podcast episode titled I had it, Welch took aim at these individuals, highlighting their apparent hypocrisy in supporting Trump’s anti-immigration and anti-LGBTQ+ policies while simultaneously enjoying foods from cultures they seem to oppose. She stated:

I’ve got the guts to step into these Mexican, Chinese, and Indian places, alongside all the white folks. [or] I could just be a stereotypical gay hairdresser.

Honestly, I struggle to find enjoyment anywhere except at a cracker barrel.

If you want to keep playing divisive games, if you want to scowl at gay folks or people of color, while also looking down on this current generation of immigrants, perhaps you should try opening your own business and pay your taxes fully…

When you label these individuals as demons or criminals, remember that the true felony is how systemic issues have created such narratives in the first place.

[…]

I’ve got all the frustrations that come from this. Those who benefit from our country should be banned from enjoying multicultural experiences.

So get out of that Mexican restaurant and head to a cracker barrel instead.
