The FBI has been quite active in the first 200 days of President Donald Trump’s administration. FBI Director Kash Patel highlighted their achievements on Saturday, mentioning efforts like child rescues, dismantling trafficking operations, and tackling drug-related issues.
Patel took to social media to outline how agents have been working to safeguard vulnerable individuals.
“In 200 days of the Trump administration, the FBI has conducted fentanyl operations resulting in 1,500 kilograms seized,” he stated. “That’s enough to potentially kill over 113 million Americans. These seizures represent a 25% increase compared to the same timeframe last year.” He expressed gratitude to Secretary of Defense and other partners for their support.
In a follow-up post, he mentioned that over 1,600 individuals were arrested for violent crimes against children and 270 for trafficking during the same period.
A few hours later, he reported that the FBI has located 4,000 child victims. He also indicated that an investigation into foreign terror organizations led to the arrest of 1,000 individuals planning harm against the U.S. and the seizure of 6,300 kilograms of meth, saving countless lives.
It’s been noted that under former President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, instances of youth sex trafficking allegedly tripled.
In March, Patel announced that three U.S. military members were implicated in theft and bribery against their country, and the FBI collaborated with other agencies to apprehend them.
In a statement from February, he emphasized that those wishing to harm American citizens, whether domestically or abroad, would face the full force of the Department of Justice and the FBI. “When they think they can escape to any corner of the globe, we’ll launch the largest manhunt in history to find them,” he warned.
