CNN Acknowledges Epstein ‘Scandal’ as a ‘Political Flop & Insignificant’

Media’s Failed Efforts to Connect Epstein Scandal with Voter Concerns

The administration and the Democrats have struggled significantly to make Jeffrey Epstein’s situation resonate with everyday citizens.

Even CNN, often viewed as a liberal news outlet, has been compelled to recognize this trend.

CNN’s analyst, Harry Enten, pointed out to Kate Bolduan—who seemed visibly let down—that interest in the Epstein story had dropped drastically, specifically, Google searches for “Epstein” plummeting by 89% in three weeks. “At this point,” he remarked, “Americans’ interest in this story is beginning to feel like it’s on the same level as a burger.”

Bolduan posed a hopeful question, wondering if the issue had influenced Trump’s popularity. Enten’s reply was clear: “No, not at all.”

In August 2017, during the early stages of Trump’s presidency, his approval rating was at 37%, according to CNN. Now, amid renewed media attempts to highlight the Epstein matter, his approval was reported at 45% last month and currently sits at 44%, showing little statistical change.

“Among Republicans, his approval rating is nearly at record highs, staying around that 90% mark,” Enten noted. “So no, he hasn’t lost that base.”

Enten further explained that the consistent support for Trump isn’t a puzzle to the average person—most simply aren’t interested. In a recent poll, just 1% of participants mentioned Epstein as their top concern, with that statistic holding for both Democrats and independents as well.

Bolduan appeared surprised, likely caught off guard by the lack of attention surrounding Epstein among the general public, despite seeing its significant coverage in Congress and media. Enten quickly addressed her misconceptions: “Donald Trump has some of the best political instincts I’ve seen.”

Yet, the media remains fixated on the Epstein issue.

This serves as more evidence of the diminishing influence the media has. Personally, I don’t feel much sympathy for the Trump administration here. For quite some time, they managed to misstep by how they handled revelations from the Epstein case. Once it became clear there wasn’t much substance to the accusations, one could argue the Democrats almost had a duty to capitalize on this situation. The media also had every right to question, “Why did you let this sit idle?”

This situation illustrates another instance of Trump’s foes inadvertently aiding him. Instead of ridiculing the administration for exaggerating an issue, the media and Democrats seem to want the public to believe that Trump is somehow entangled with the notorious Epstein matter, which only adds to the laughter at how the Biden administration handles it.

It’s absurd. Simply put—absurd.

For several months now, there’s been little here outside of political blunders from Team Trump. Ultimately, no one seems to care. For those who do, it’s time to face the facts and move forward.
