Carly Pearce’s Ranch Dressing Mishap

Carly Pearce has had a bit of a rough time with ranch dressing lately.

The 35-year-old country singer shared a candid video on TikTok recently, where she recounted how she injured her thumb while opening a glass bottle of ranch dressing. She humorously captioned the post, “BRB avoids all ranchs!!”

Explaining the incident, she said, “Last night, I was just about to have dinner after my show. I reached for the ranch dressing, and when I tried to open it, the bottle snapped, cutting my thumb.” At first, her fiddler and assistant thought it wasn’t too serious, but things quickly escalated.

Fortunately, there were paramedics nearby who assessed her injury and made sure there was no glass in the cuts. They advised her that she would need stitches and took her to the hospital.

“I didn’t realize that going to the ER meant being transported by ambulance and having to lie on a stretcher,” she shared, waving one hand in disbelief.

While at the hospital, the singer mentioned she had an X-ray to confirm the scratches weren’t serious, but the doctor informed her that stitching was necessary.

“At first, my fiddler and my assistant thought it wasn’t that big of a deal, but suddenly, I thought ketchup was running down my hands,” she said with a laugh.

Pearce noted that the way the stitches were positioned was a bit tricky, as the cut was right in the fold of her thumb. She added, jokingly, that she might have to shave her left armpit for whatever reason, apparently a nod to a random tidbit she found amusing.

Ultimately, she expressed gratitude that her injuries weren’t more serious, reflecting, “It could have been much worse. I might even wrap my bandages for my upcoming performance.” She concluded her video with a valuable lesson: “You really should be careful when opening things; I guess my mom is right—I shouldn’t rush around like a bull in a china shop.”

Fans reacted humorously in the comments, including remarks like, “This seems so typical for you,” and another mentioning how they now had a new reason to dislike ranch dressing.

Pearce has several performances coming up, including a show in Costa Mesa, California, and an appearance at Tennessee’s ACM Honor later this month.

Earlier this year, she wrapped up her Hummingbird World Tour, returning to the main stage at the Stagecoach festival for the first time in nearly a decade. She reflected on her previous experiences, saying, “I always wanted to come back. It’s special, and there’s such vibrant culture here.” The eclectic mix of artists and the atmosphere has left her feeling she missed out for too long.
