Nicola Peltz Beckham Celebrates Vow Renewal with Mom’s Dress
Nicola Peltz Beckham recently honored her mother during a vow renewal ceremony with her husband, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham. The couple, married for three years, celebrated the occasion on August 2. Nicola wore a reimagined version of her mother Claudia Hefner Peltz’s wedding dress from her own 1985 marriage to Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz.
Nicola shared moments from the special day on Instagram, explaining that the event was organized by her father, Nelson, and attended by various family members, including Claudia, although David and Victoria Beckham were not present. As per Instagram posts, the iconic couple appears to be vacationing in France at the moment, making their absence during the ceremony a bit more mysterious.
“This day meant so much to us,” Nicola captioned one of her posts, which included a carousel of images from the event.
In a nod to her family history, Nicola also shared a post featuring a throwback photo of Claudia in her wedding gown, pointing out how the tradition continued with her choice to wear her mother’s dress for this special vow renewal. The dress featured a corset bodice, off-the-shoulder sleeves, and original floral appliqué details, striking a balance between honoring tradition and modern aesthetics.
The actress had initially worn a custom Valentino gown for her first wedding to Brooklyn on April 9, 2022, in a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida.
Nicola has often expressed her admiration for her parents’ decades-long marriage, noting in past interviews how their playful dynamic has influenced her relationship with Brooklyn. She mentioned her father’s affection for her mother, highlighting how they remain deeply in love even after so many years. “I think it’s beautiful to see,” she said, emphasizing a commitment to retaining that same affection in her marriage.
The Peltz family, including Nicola’s brothers and other siblings, were present for the vow renewal celebration, while Brooklyn’s family was notably absent. Speculation about tension between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, has emerged, especially since they felt hurt by the couple’s decision to skip David’s 50th birthday celebration.
Brooklyn, reflecting on the vow renewal, described it as “beautiful,” noting the importance of shared experiences and memories. He even mentioned plans to tattoo the vows somewhere on his body, humorously adding, “These are actually longer than my original.” This little detail adds a light-hearted touch to their commitment.
The event, while joyous for some, continues to highlight the complexity of family dynamics, especially when high-profile relationships intertwine. This ceremony not only reaffirmed their love but also underlined the enduring legacies of family traditions.
