Tom Sandoval Shares If He Would Consider Joining 'The Valley' and Responds to Brittany Cartwright Competing in 'Special Forces' Season 4

VanderPump Rules Update

The original cast of VanderPump Rules has been quite active since Bravo announced the show’s reboot with a new lineup. Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute have been making headlines. Meanwhile, Ariana Maddix has taken on hosting duties for Love Island USA, Stassi Schroeder appeared in Vanderpump Villa, and Scheana Shay published a memoir. Even Tom Sandoval, who faced backlash over his tumultuous relationship with Rachel Revis, has secured more projects than he has during his entire 11-season run in the reality series over the past two years.

Sandoval is now nearing the end of his stint on Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test, while also gaining popularity on The Traitor. He is preparing to perform with his band, The Most Extras, on American Talent, with the live show set to air on Tuesday, August 19th.

He mentioned that American Talent presents a “very different” challenge compared to his previous experiences, perhaps even the biggest stage he’s stepped onto. The Fox series puts celebrities and athletes through a grueling special forces selection process.

“This has definitely been one of the toughest things I’ve done,” Sandoval shared during a recent interview. “You can ask anyone from the season about it. It’s more challenging than it appears on screen. There’s a lot happening that viewers don’t get to see.”

Sandoval isn’t the only cast member making moves. Cartwright, who was on VanderPump Rules from seasons 4 through 8, is set to join Special Forces, which will premiere its fourth season on September 25th.

“I didn’t tell her this, but I’m really excited for her,” Sandoval stated. “I wish her the best and hope she does great. It’s really about pushing her limits.”

Cartwright’s appearances could delve into her controversial split from Taylor, particularly after some backlash regarding how she dealt with their relationship in the past season.

Sandoval and Taylor had a rocky friendship for quite a while. A notable incident was when Taylor demoted Sandoval at his wedding or when Sandoval returned a samurai sword signed by Randy Jackson. Interestingly, they recently attended a screening of Freaky Friday together.

“We watched it together just yesterday,” Sandoval noted, adding that they shared quite a few laughs during the film. “I’m really trying to be supportive of him as he works through some things. I want him to succeed.”

When asked if he might be part of VanderPump Rules in Taylor’s absence, he replied, “It’s always nice to be asked, but right now, I’m focusing on other things in my life. But who knows? Anything’s possible.”

For now, though, the focus seems to be on The Traitor. Sandoval’s redemption arc really took off in its third season on Peacock, showcasing a different side of him and making him a fan favorite after facing considerable scrutiny.

“It’s definitely given me a boost of confidence,” he said. “I enjoy these kinds of shows, so I plan to keep at it. It’s a fun experience, and I’m happy that people are interested in seeing me in new roles.”

As for what’s next on his agenda? He mused, “Maybe Survivor? That could be interesting.”

Don’t miss Tom Sandoval and The Most Extras on American Talent on NBC, airing August 19th at 8/7c.
