New NRCC Ads Link Democrats to Radical Policies
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has launched a series of new advertisements that aim to connect Democrats with what they describe as “radical” policies. This includes highlighting figures such as Zohran Mamdani, a socialist candidate for mayor in New York City.
These ads are targeting 25 vulnerable House Democrats across the country. The NRCC has made modest buy-ins on digital platforms, attacking the Democratic Party’s “Project 2026,” which supposedly outlines the Republican alternatives for voters in the upcoming mid-term elections.
One of the ads points to what it calls Hakeem Jeffries’ plan to “remake America,” asserting that the agenda includes raising taxes on working families. It features a clip of Jeffries, a leader in the Democratic minority, stating that “Donald Trump must take office.” In contrast, Rep. Dina Titas is quoted saying, “I want to get a bastard right now.”
Senate Democrats are reportedly eager to bring in strong candidates to reclaim their majority in the mid-term elections slated for 2026.
The advertisement further claims that Democrats “opened the borders” and facilitated what they call an “invasion” of illegal immigrants during the Biden administration. The narrator describes incidents of rioting and looting, using clips of Mamdani promoting ideas like the “abolition of private property.” He was quoted saying, “We have no attitude about our socialism.”
In the closing lines of the ad, the message warns that Democrats aspire to turn America into a “socialist-filled dystopia.”
The NRCC also recently released a memo criticizing Jeffries for not meeting a voluntary deadline to present a new vision for America governed by democratic principles.
In a response to allegations made by the NRCC, DCCC spokesman Viet Shelton stated that House Republicans have failed to enhance the everyday lives of Americans. He suggested that their efforts seem like a desperate attempt to distract from rising costs and healthcare challenges faced by many families.
Some of the key Democrats mentioned in the ad include representatives from New York and Ohio, among others. The NRCC spokesman characterized the Democrats’ approach as one that burdens working families with higher taxes and fosters an environment of crime and chaos.
