Netflix Reveals Season 2 of “No One Wants This”
Netflix has shared the first look photos from the second season of Erin Foster’s comedy series.
In this new season, agnostic podcasters Joan (Kristen Bell) and Rabino (Adam Brody) continue to deal with their differences as they pursue their feelings for each other. As Netflix notes, season one caught everyone—including Joan’s sister Morgan (Jackie Tone), Rabino’s brother Sasha (Timothy Simons), and even Rabino himself—off guard. “Their chemistry has become even stronger than the challenges that threaten to pull them apart,” the season 2 synopsis reads. “Now, they’re committed to blending their lives together. However, their differences linger, making it crucial to embrace love while navigating these complications.”
Jackie Tone, who has been promoted to a regular cast member in season 2, expressed her excitement about the role in February. “I think we’ll see Estelle portrayed with more depth; she was quite a handful in the first season,” she shared.
This season also welcomes guest stars Leighton Meester (who happens to be Adam Brody’s real-life wife), Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, and Shiro Berman. Meester will play a character named Abby, and Fowler’s role is Rennie, introduced as Morgan’s co-worker from the “Matza Ballers” team.
When asked about having Meester and Fowler join the cast, Tone said, “Oh, I just adore both of them! They are amazing.”
According to reports, Arian Moayed will portray Dr. Andy, a highly admired psychotherapist, while Karpovsky plays Big Noah, a rather overconfident rabbi at Noah’s temple.
The series has garnered attention, being named one of the best television shows by “Derrider” last September. It debuted in September 2024 and draws loosely from Foster’s personal experiences.
All ten episodes of season 2 of No One Wants This will be available on Netflix starting Thursday, October 23rd. If you’re counting down, you might want to rewatch season 1, which is still available on the platform.
