Fans of the Giants and Eagles might not see eye to eye on everything, but they do share a clear dislike for one NFC East team.

In a recent appearance on the “Don’t Lie” podcast hosted by Kylie Kelce, Ciara discussed her husband Russell Wilson’s adjustment to the competitive landscape as the new quarterback for the Giants.

“That’s absolutely true,” Ciara, aged 39, said. “I mean, I’m learning about the territory too. The blue, silver, and white teams definitely have a rich history.”

Wilson, who joined the Giants on a one-year deal this past March, will be stepping into the Cowboys rivalry when they visit Arlington in week two.

The rivalry between the Cowboys and Giants stretches back to their first encounter in 1960, which ended in a tie. Overall, Dallas has the upper hand with a record of 77-47-2 in their matchups.

Both teams are looking to bounce back after disappointing seasons in 2024, finishing with records of 3-14 and 7-10, respectively, and missing out on the playoffs.

On a brighter note, the Eagles are coming off a strong 40-22 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl 2025, and they’ll be getting back to regular-season play on September 14.

Ciara understands the intensity of the rivalry between the Giants and the Eagles and appreciates the passionate fan base. “The stubbornness around here is something I’ve never seen before,” she remarked. “There’s so much energy in this area. Back in Seattle, we didn’t have as much of this energy.”

Wilson, a Super Bowl champion with the Seahawks, spent a decade in Seattle battling the 49ers for dominance in the NFC West. After a two-year stint in Denver following a 2022 trade, he’s now gearing up for his first season in New York.

Ciara mentioned to Kelce that the city’s atmosphere has been quite “surprising.” She added, “My dad is originally from New York, so I guess I have a bit of New York in my blood. It’s been incredible here—the culture and community are amazing. I’ve never seen this many playgrounds in one city. It’s wild and so much fun to view it all through my kids’ eyes.”

Ciara and Wilson have been married since 2016 and are parents to three children: daughters Sienna (8) and Amora (1), along with their five-year-old son Win. Additionally, Ciara has an 11-year-old son, Zahil, from a previous relationship.

The Giants’ 2025 season opener will be on September 7 against NFC East rival, the Commanders.
