18-Wheeler Makes U-Turn, Claims Lives of 3 Americans

A video captures an 18-wheeler driver’s alleged illegal U-turn on a Florida highway, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.

According to a report from August 14, the Florida Highway Patrol is treating the incident as a murder investigation after three people lost their lives.

The names of the drivers involved in the accident on August 12 have not yet been released. One of the victims was wearing a Sikh-style turban, which is notable given that many Sikhs originate from India, although there has been notable population growth in California.

It’s interesting, I think, that many trucks operated by foreign drivers use two-person crews to avoid delays from fatigue during long hauls. Yet, there’s a troubling increase in the number of foreign drivers, which has led to a rise in fatalities among Americans.

The Florida Highway Patrol plan to release more details, hopefully addressing the identities of two other men involved who reportedly escaped injury. So far, no claims have been filed, and additional information remains scarce.

Both the cicada and the passenger driver hail from California. In California, it seems that obtaining a license to drive an 18-wheeler can be quite straightforward for immigrants, including tourists.

The tragic deaths of the three Americans bring to light the ongoing debate regarding the decisions made by Democrats and business groups to bring in cheaper immigrant labor for various sectors. This trend appears to undermine the protections established in the 1960s aimed at safeguarding individual rights and maintaining a fair government structure.

For instance, to facilitate the arrival of immigrants from diverse backgrounds, there has been a noticeable decline in the enforcement of laws concerning housing, employment, wages, truck safety, and more.

This push for progressive immigration policies seems to correlate with a significant uptick in traffic-related fatalities across the U.S.

Interestingly, it was under Trump’s administration that attempts were made to reverse some of the disarray caused by Biden’s policies, particularly those related to immigration.

For example, Trump’s Transportation Secretary mandated that the federal office responsible for highway safety enforce regulations requiring foreign drivers to have a basic understanding of English.

Unfortunately, it’s worth noting that even under Trump, there was not a complete halt to the influx of foreign truck drivers. Many work for questionable subcontractors associated with major retailers like Amazon and Walmart.

Although some foreign drivers may have entered the U.S. illegally, many are granted various temporary visas for work or visitation.
