She had some bold words for him.
Betty White, when meeting David Boreanaz on the set of “Bones,” expressed a rather explicit desire toward him.
Boreanaz, now 56, remembers how White greeted everyone during her visit to the show in 2015. He recounted this at a retrospective panel celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary at the first Televille Festival on Saturday.
He said, “Emily [Deschanel] and I were there waiting for her to arrive. She walked in and said, ‘I’m happy to meet you. Ah, you’re lovely. So pretty.'” It certainly set a warm tone, he noted.
But then, as he recounted, things took a surprising turn. After complimenting Deschanel, White turned to Boreanaz and exclaimed an unexpected remark.
“She looked at me and said, ‘Holy s-t, I want you to f-k!'” Boreanaz recalled, adding he couldn’t help but laugh at her candor.
Deschanel had no recollection of this amusing exchange but found it “surprising.”
Their castmate, Tamara Taylor, referred to White as “the legendary potty mouth,” while TJ Thyne called her a “little troublemaker” in a playful manner.
This panel also included other key figures like Hart Hanson, Michaela Conlin, and Eric Millegan.
White appeared as Dr. Beth Mayer in Season 11 and reprised her role in the 12th season, leaving a memorable mark on the series.
Throughout her career, White was known for her playful and sometimes risqué comments. She even once joked about her co-stars in a game show format, drawing attention for her frankness.
The beloved star passed away on December 31, 2021, just shy of her 100th birthday. Her agent, Jeff Widjas, remarked she seemed like someone who would live forever.
Widjas added, “I think she was ready to join her cherished late husband, Allen Ludden. She never seemed afraid of passing.”
It was reported that she suffered a stroke shortly before her death, but her spirit and love for life continued to resonate with those who knew her.
