On Sunday, former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to predict that MSNBC host Nicole Wallace will soon be dismissed from the network. His remarks came after he shared a meme depicting Wallace as a clown, suggesting she’s anxious about her job security. Trump accused her of being a “loser” with poor ratings and claimed that MSNBC was “dead.”
There seems to be some tension brewing. Wallace had issued sharp remarks following Trump’s recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressing her concerns about Trump’s commitment to U.S. allies and their needs in the ongoing conflict. She pointed out how he fails to support Ukraine effectively, stating that he doesn’t seem to care about their sovereignty.
Adding to the drama, Wallace made a comment regarding Trump’s body language during a photo op with Putin, which seemed to suggest a deeper narrative about their interactions. She noted a peculiar dynamic between Trump and Melania, which she tied back to his behavior with Putin during the appearance.
The day after Trump’s “MSNBC dead” post, the Wall Street Journal reported that there are plans to rebrand the network, humorously suggesting a name change to “My Source News Opinion World,” as part of an upcoming Comcast restructuring.
