Former Zimbabwe Soccer Player Tendi Ndoro Found Dead
Former Zimbabwe national soccer player Tendi Ndoro was discovered deceased at his home in South Africa, according to a statement from the country’s Football Association, which was released on Tuesday. He was only 40 years old.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) confirmed Ndoro’s passing via social media but didn’t provide any specific details regarding the circumstances of his death.
“The Zimbabwe Football Association is deeply saddened to learn that former Warriors striker Tendiro has passed away too early,” the statement mentioned. “Ndoro was a talented individual who took pride in representing our country, wearing the Warriors jersey. His dedication and passion for football have left a lasting impact, and his contributions to the sport in Zimbabwe will not be forgotten.”
Zifa extended their condolences to Ndoro’s family, friends, and loved ones during this challenging time, expressing their appreciation for his contributions to the sport. They offered well wishes, hoping for peace for his soul.
Reports indicate that Ndoro was found in Johannesburg, South Africa, and a British source mentioned that he had been suffering from a long-term illness.
Several of Ndoro’s former clubs took to social media to share tributes and express their grief over his untimely departure.
Having debuted for the national team in 2013, Ndoro scored five goals in 14 matches before 2017. He also played for professional teams, including Al-Orouba in the Oman Professional League in 2020.
