Top NFL Offenses Predicted for 2025
Making predictions can be tricky, but one thing seems clear: the offenses in the NFL are set to stand out more than last year. The most effective attacks will likely remain at the forefront for a longer duration, largely depending on investments made in offensive talent. Some teams are maintaining a strong blend of players on both ends, particularly on offense, and yes, there are a couple of surprises on this list!
So, here’s my take on which team will boast the best offense in the NFL for 2025:
As I contemplated the top contenders, the Ravens repeatedly came to mind. They showcased one of the most dynamic and efficient offenses last season and have kept their key players intact. The partnership between QB Lamar Jackson and OC Todd Monken has been remarkable since 2023. Baltimore led the league in expected points added (EPA) per play last year. They’ve retained star players like RB Derrick Henry and WR Zay Flowers while also influencing the offensive line for protection. Plus, with RB Keaton Mitchell fully recovered from his knee injury, the attack now seems even more versatile. Overall, the Ravens possess one of the most talented rosters in the league, right at the top of my list.
Following closely behind, the Eagles are often mentioned in discussions about the most gifted rosters. They face some uncertainty with Kevin Paturo stepping in for Kellen Moore as OC, but the offensive strength raises intriguing questions for opposing defenses. Their offensive line, anchored by Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson, remains exceptional, and RB Saquon Barkley’s run creation skills really enhance this offense. Barkley has the advantage of working behind a strong line, which is critical in any explosive attack. Meanwhile, QB Jalen Hurts has been widely talked about this offseason as he continues to develop his downfield passing ability, targeting WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. With so many considerations for defenses to address, I have the Eagles sitting at number two.
Now, I realize the Bills might not offer overwhelming options aside from Khalil Shakir, but their offense continues to evolve. The offensive line returns its starters from a unit that ranked second in the league based on EPA per carry. Josh Allen, an MVP-winning quarterback, unquestionably elevates the team’s performance. Even without standout outside receivers, they managed to rank in the top spots for EPA per play last season. With OC Joe Brady in his second year, I believe the Bills won’t be far behind.
The Rams could be incredibly potent too, all contingent on QB Matthew Stafford’s health. They struggled last season due to coverage gaps in their passing game, as Stafford fell short in the EPA rankings among qualified QBs. While their receivers excelled against zone coverages, keeping up with man coverage was a challenge. Enter Davante Adams—one of the best route runners in the league. His skill in creating separation could simplify things within the offense, making it more lethal. Stafford’s health will be pivotal, but a fit Stafford could mean great things for the Rams’ offense in 2025.
When discussing the top QB/WR duo in the NFL, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase can’t be overlooked. They’re among the most electrifying duos in the league’s history, and their connection remains strong. With WR Tee Higgins also in the mix, their passing game looks threatening—assuming both stay healthy. I do harbor questions about their offensive line and how well they adapt to a shotgun offense, but I expect them to perform remarkably well.
Even amid some setbacks, such as losing Ben Johnson and Frank Ragnow, the Lions have the potential to remain one of the top offenses. I suspect HC Dan Campbell has had a substantial impact on the offense, and since QB Jared Goff now fully understands the system, he’ll take more control during pre-snap operations. Despite losing two starters, they’ve infused new talent with players like Christian Mahogany and Teitra Treedge. The skill positions also hold promise with dynamic backs like David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, alongside the growth of WR Jameson Williams. While they may not be as explosive as last year, they should still sit within the top ten offenses.
Honorable mentions: Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons
