Beverly Hills home of Lionel Richie burglarized, suspect apprehended by police

Authorities have apprehended a suspect in connection with a recent burglary at the Beverly Hills residence of music icon Lionel Richie. The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed that a 38-year-old man was arrested early Friday near Wilshire Boulevard and Beverlyle Len Boulevard on suspicion of robbery.

Although the department has not explicitly identified the homeowner, several media outlets indicate that it is Lionel Richie’s home. Richie’s notable tracks include “All Night Long” and “Hello.”

Police responded to a call about the break-in around midnight on August 22. During their investigation, they were able to arrest the suspect just a few blocks away from the scene. Reports suggest that Richie was at home during the incident, and thankfully, his security system activated, which likely scared off the would-be burglar. Nothing was reported missing.

This break-in attempt follows another robbery incident involving Brad Pitt’s former home, where police recently arrested four suspects linked to a series of burglaries across Southern California.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that, in a separate incident, their officers responded to a call about a home invasion in the 2300 block of Edgemont Street around 10:30 p.m. on June 25. According to reports, multiple individuals managed to enter the property, but Pitt was not at home during that invasion, as he was promoting his film “F1.”

As for the investigation into Richie’s case, it’s ongoing, and no immediate comment has been provided by his representatives.
