John Stamos Updates on Dave Coulier’s Health
Recently, John Stamos shared how his “Full House” co-star, Dave Coulier, is doing after his fight with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
“I’m going to see him. He’s doing great things,” Stamos, 62, mentioned in a conversation. They’re planning to perform together soon, including a trip to Japan for some comic events.
This comes after Stamos acknowledged the impact of Coulier’s health issues on him, especially following his own battle diagnosed in 2024, largely due to support from his 65-year-old friend.
“Dave and I talk a lot. You know, I lost Bob [Saget], and I couldn’t bear the thought of losing Dave too, so I’ve been there for him throughout his cancer journey,” Stamos reflected in a recent interview.
Stamos emphasized that Coulier is back to his vibrant self: “It’s wonderful to see treatment working,” he said. “Seeing him share his story and help others is fantastic.” Coulier first publicized his diagnosis in November 2024, sharing that he noticed a lump while battling a cold.
“It quickly swelled,” he recounted. “I thought, ‘Wow, either I’m really tired or something’s wrong.'” The last thing Coulier expected was a cancer diagnosis.
“I remember thinking, ‘Wait a minute—this can’t be happening to me.’ You always hear stories like this happening to others,” he shared.
Throughout his treatment, Stamos remained by Coulier’s side, even donning a hat from their shared past while visiting him. He posted photos on social media, showing solidarity during Coulier’s recovery journey.
Despite facing some backlash for wearing a bald cap, Coulier defended Stamos’s gestures, emphasizing that their friendship helped them cope with difficult times. “I’m a comedian, and humor pushes me through,” he explained. “John genuinely knows how to lift my spirits.” This camaraderie comes amid a backdrop of loss, as they remember their beloved co-star, Bob Saget.
Coulier has also talked about how he and other cast members, like Candace Cameron Bure and Lori Loughlin, keep Saget’s memory alive. “We reminisced about the good times,” he remarked. “You can either view it as a void or fill it with joyful memories—we have countless of those.”
Bure has expressed her own grief over losing Saget. “I think of Bob every day. I’m grateful to be here to honor him,” she noted recently.
She also shared an important lesson learned from Saget: “Always tell the people you love that you love them,” she advised. “Don’t leave without expressing that.” Bure has emphasized the importance of laughter in her life lately.
Meanwhile, actress Jodie Sweetin hinted at a potential reunion for the cast, quipping about the idea of a “Golden Girls” crossover. “I’m totally on board; we’ve been saying we need to do a reunion for ages,” she teased.
Coulier continues to navigate his health journey with the unwavering support of friends like Stamos, and the community around them remains hopeful and engaged with their stories.
