Norman Reedus' son from 'The Walking Dead' issues unsettling threat

The son of Norman Reedus, who is well-known for his role in “The Walking Dead,” made a disturbing statement on Sunday.

25-year-old Mingus Lucien Reedus asked on social media, “Do you want to see me commit suicide?” as he stepped outside.

His mother, former Victoria’s Secret model Helena Christensen, was seen later on West 16th Avenue in casual green shorts and a black T-shirt, accompanied by a couple of friends and a cat.

Reedus did not engage with inquiries regarding his unsettling post.

According to Manhattan prosecutors, the young man got into an altercation with his 33-year-old partner on Friday night, which reportedly involved physical aggression, including kicking and suffocation.

He was charged on Saturday with offenses such as third-degree assault, obstruction of breathing, second-degree harassment, aggravated harassment, and reckless physical injury, but was released without bail.

These charges are not eligible for bail under recent state criminal justice reforms.

As he left the courtroom, Reedus reportedly insulted a reporter, calling her “ugly.”

This isn’t Mingus’s first run-in with the law; in 2021, he faced charges for allegedly hitting a woman during the San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy, which culminated in a plea for disorderly conduct. He was advised to attend at least five counseling sessions.

During the court appearance, celebrity attorney Priya Chaundhry, who previously represented Marvel actor Jonathan Majors, stated that her client had been broken up with for five months and claimed that the alleged victim was trying to assist him, even suggesting threats of self-harm with “many sleeping pills.”

Chaundhry added that the woman was “not afraid” of Mingus and had already moved out of their residence.

No comments from the attorney were available on Sunday.
