New York Male Model Stabbed While Defending Women From Assault in Germany

Stabbing Incident Involving New York Model

The New York Post reported that a male model from New York was stabbed on Sunday. John Rudat, a 21-year-old, sustained a knife wound to his face while attempting to help two women, according to various sources. His brother’s girlfriend organized a GoFundMe supporting Rudat’s recovery; he works as a paramedic and part-time model and is facing “deep facial scars” as a result of the incident.

The GoFundMe described the situation as a “brutal” attack. It’s mentioned that Rudat had recently finished emergency training and had been working as an EMT for the past year and a half. Reports indicate that the two women intervened when they saw Rudat being assaulted by two individuals identified as Syrian citizens.

“John suffered serious injuries while trying to protect these women, including severe facial wounds from a 6-inch blade, necessitating immediate and extensive surgery in Germany,” the fundraiser detailed. A recent post included a photo showing bloody tissue on the tram floor, indicating the violent nature of the altercation.

Later on Instagram, Rudat spoke about the incident. He noted that the man accused of attacking the women is not a German or EU citizen, but rather an immigrant known to law enforcement. He commented that the attacker’s accomplice had threatened him previously, saying something along the lines of, “My face swing.” Rudat expressed his frustrations and raised questions about the legal system: “If they could do this to the German people, and they would only be released in 12 hours—where is the law? Where is the structure?”

The U.S. embassy in Germany condemned the attack through a statement on X, urging German authorities to swiftly address the matter and ensure that justice is served effectively.

Rudat was reportedly visiting his former host family at the time of the attack, and so far, the GoFundMe campaign has raised $32,060 for his recovery.
