Travis Hunter Welcomes a New Addition to His Family

Travis Hunter, a rookie wide receiver and cornerback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is gearing up for the upcoming football season. But he’s juggling something else important—fatherhood. In a recent YouTube video, Hunter and his wife, Leanna de La Fuente, shared the exciting news that they are now parents to a baby boy.

In the video titled “Dear Son…”, they revealed their emotional journey upon learning about the pregnancy. It included a heartfelt segment where Hunter’s wife mentioned that he had a dream on February 28th about having a son “with lots of curly hair.”

They playfully shared that Hunter was drafted by the Jaguars, telling their newborn he would soon join the team. As the montage progressed, it captured moments of anticipation and preparation, culminating in a hospital scene where a doctor announces the arrival of the baby.

While it’s unclear when the video was shot or the exact date and name of the baby, there’s a real sense of joy emanating from their announcement. Hunter and Leanna got engaged in February 2024 shortly after his draft and tied the knot in May. Their love story began back in high school at Collins High in Georgia.

Hunter was picked as the second selection by the Jaguars after they traded up from the fifth position to acquire him from the Cleveland Browns. As a new father, Hunter is set to begin his season with the Jaguars against the Carolina Panthers on September 7th. It’s going to be an exciting year for him, both on and off the field.
