Jordan Love Excited Over Recent Trade

Jordan Love and his wife, Ronica Stone, were thrilled about the recent trade involving Mika Parsons, which sent shockwaves through the Packers, especially as they head into a crucial stretch in the NFC North.

Not long after the Cowboys finalized the deal sending the talented edge rusher to Green Bay, Love shared an ESPN post about the trade on his Instagram Story, adding three flame emojis to express his excitement.

In his post, he also tagged agent Mulugheta, who played a role in negotiating Love’s remarkable $220 million contract, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history.

Other players from around the league reacted enthusiastically to this impressive trade. Cowboys star receiver Sea Deerum even posted emojis as he celebrated the news. It seems the excitement is infectious.

Recently, Love mentioned on the “Up & Adams” show how he and Parsons had been in touch a bit this offseason, especially after they were featured together on a podcast. It looks like they might get to share the field together for a while, especially after the Cowboys traded away two first-round picks and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

This summer, the situation with Parsons reached a boiling point during training camp, as he sought a trade, exchanged words with owner Jerry Jones, and struggled with a back injury while munching on nachos during preseason games.

Despite the drama, negotiations for Parsons’ extension didn’t bear fruit. As the first pick of the 2021 draft, he racked up 52.5 sacks in his early seasons. Ultimately, the Packers signed him to a massive four-year contract worth $188 million, fully guaranteed at signing.

Last year, the Packers ended with an 11-6 record and exited in the wildcard round. However, expectations remain high as they aim to compete for the division title this season against the Lions and Vikings. Love, who threw for 3,389 yards and 25 touchdowns last year, is at the helm and ready for the challenge.
