Support for British Activists by US Vice President

US Vice President JD Vance has expressed support for British activists and patriots, highlighting the growing patriotic sentiments in British cities. He described the situation as “crazy” and emphasized the need for resistance.

During a conversation with Will Cain, Vance pointed out the strong cultural ties between the United States and Europe, especially the UK, and illustrated his backing for activists from Operation Rays.

There’s a noticeable national push to see British flags—St. George’s flag of England, the Saltire of Scotland, and the Welsh dragon—flying high. This movement follows months of protests against anti-immigration crime. Activists are using national colors as a symbol of resistance against perceived anti-English policies stemming from London, and they’ve set up thousands of flags.

These efforts have sparked conflicts, with local councils hastily taking down flags hung from streetlights.

In discussing the flag activism and the ongoing debate, VP Vance drew a parallel to the “BLM” movement in America. He remarked on the significance of the American flag, as well as the current happenings in the UK.

“It’s not a controversial symbol. The American flag is perhaps the most divisive symbol out there. Regardless of political affiliation, we should all unify in our love for our country,” he stated.

Vance described it as “crazy” for extremists to pressure individuals into hiding their patriotism.

He reinforced that the US and UK share a deep historical connection and often confront similar cultural challenges. Vance mentioned that Europe sometimes leads the way in cultural or political trends, offering the US a chance to learn from its experiences, and vice versa.

He suggested that Europe might have learned some lessons the hard way, particularly due to its past opposition to President Trump. “European issues mirror American ones. Under Biden, there was an open southern border, and Europeans need to recognize that these challenges can lead to higher crime rates,” he explained.

The Vice President concluded by reaffirming the numerous cultural similarities between the US and Europe. He stressed the importance of acknowledging how events in Europe can influence the US and the interconnectedness between the two regions.
