Trump releases security video of supposed damage to limestone in the White House Rose Garden

Recently, former President Donald Trump posted footage online, claiming subcontractors damaged “the most beautiful marble and stones anywhere” in the recently revamped White House Rose Garden. He indicated that he found a “giant cut” in the limestone three days prior, stretching over 25 yards.

In his social media update, Trump expressed that the state of the surface is significant to him as a builder. He mentioned his extensive experience in construction, noting, “That crack was deep and troubling! I couldn’t help but shout, ‘I want to know who did this right now!’ And trust me, it wasn’t in the best of tones.”

He raised the question of whether the damage was due to vandalism or poor workmanship, speculating that it might have been caused by White House security equipment. “They hire people without much thought,” he remarked, “and then there are their bosses, who just look on.” Trump placed some blame on a subcontractor who had supposedly installed heavy landscaping using a faulty steel cart.

The shared security footage appeared to show two workers with a yellow cart, which was topped with a shrub, moving across the newly laid stone. Two other individuals seemed to observe the situation unfold in the background.

While discussing the incident, Trump reiterated his “love and respect” for workers and contractors, but declared that the damage was simply unacceptable and that the stones would be replaced. “Now I’m going to get those stones fixed, hold the contractor accountable, and ensure that contractor never steps foot in the White House again. But seriously, how great is our video equipment? Let’s make America great again!” he added.

The White House has not yet commented regarding Trump’s allegations or the incident itself.
