Si Robertson Remembers Late Brother Phil
Si Robertson, famously known as “Uncle Si” from Duck Dynasty, recently shared a heartfelt tribute to his late brother, Phil Robertson. In a social media post, Si reflected on Phil’s complicated past and his desire to spread the message of hope offered by faith. This comes as the film about Phil, The Blind Man, was re-released in theaters with a touching tribute to the patriarch, who passed away on May 25th.
The film will be showing in theaters from August 31st through September 5th.
“Phil was my brother for 77 years. Although we’re physically apart for now, it’s merely a change in Phil’s address,” Si wrote. “I encourage everyone to check out The Blind Man. It’s not just a collection of memories and pictures; it’s a reflection of my brother’s life laid out for the world.”
The Blind Man explores Phil Robertson’s life before his transformation through Christ, depicting his years as an angry, alcoholic husband and showcasing his romantic journey with his wife, Kay Robertson.
“We were both lost in our own ways. But once you see that film, you fully grasp the depth of its message. There’s nothing you can do to get away from God’s love. He wished for everyone to understand that God’s love and forgiveness are extended to all of us,” Si added.
Si went on to encourage fans to watch the film, highlighting its uplifting message.
“It’s never too late for any of us,” Si noted.
The film has performed well at the box office in 2023, initially set for a week-long run but extended due to strong ticket sales.
The Blind Man has received a PG-13 rating for thematic content and some language.
