Rudy Giuliani Released from Hospital After Car Accident
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is feeling emotional after being discharged from the hospital, following a car accident in New Hampshire, as shared by his business associate, Ted Goodman.
Goodman provided the update amid an ongoing investigation by New Hampshire State Police into the accident that occurred on Saturday night on the interstate highway in Manchester. He mentioned that Giuliani is recovering after being rear-ended while driving.
“He’s very thankful for all the love, prayers, and well-wishes he’s received,” Goodman added. “The care he got from the New Hampshire State Police, paramedics, and hospital staff was truly outstanding.”
Authorities noted that there have been no charges filed associated with the crash so far. According to police reports, Giuliani and Goodman were traveling south on I-93 when they were flagged down by a woman prior to the collision. After reporting the incident, they remained on-site until state troopers arrived.
Shortly after, they returned to the scene only to be struck again, but this time while traveling north, near mile marker 23.2. This occurred close to where a domestic violence incident had been reported earlier.
In response to some confusion, authorities clarified that the driver responsible for the crash had no connection to the earlier incident. Investigations are still looking into whether the distractions from the initial scene influenced the second crash.
Giuliani has been diagnosed with fractured thoracic vertebrae and various lacerations. Goodman’s remarks indicated that Giuliani is doing okay, though there were concerns about his injuries.
State Police identified the crash vehicles as a Honda HR-V and a Ford Bronco, in which Giuliani was a passenger. The Honda reportedly overturned, leading to his injuries.
Goodman emphasized that this incident was not an attack on Giuliani, reinforcing that the circumstances were unfortunate rather than malicious.
