Vivienne Wilson’s Break from Elon Musk

Vivienne Wilson, the estranged transgender daughter of Elon Musk, recently disclosed the emotional toll of severing ties with her billionaire father.

At 21, she expressed in an interview, “People think I have a lot of money, but I don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal.” Wilson, who aspires to be a model, shared her thoughts with a media outlet earlier this week.

“Everyone assumes my mother is wealthy, but… I don’t have that kind of wealth.”

In a bid to manage expenses, she mentioned living with three roommates. “I don’t aspire to be super rich,” she added.

Elon Musk’s fortune is estimated at roughly $413 billion.

Wilson noted, “I can manage basic needs, and I receive support from friends and local shelters.”

As Musk’s oldest child, she rose to prominence in 2022 when she legally changed her name and gender. Since then, Wilson has been vocal about her feelings toward the tech mogul, often criticizing him online for what she perceives as his outdated views on gender.

In response to their fallout, she reflected on her strained relationship with her father, stating, “The most stereotypical aspect of me is probably the ‘daddy issues’.”

Throughout the interview, Wilson discussed her privileged upbringing, attending a private high school alongside other notable figures, including Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter.

She also mentioned being trained in several languages, including Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish.

Wilson admitted to trying universities in Canada and Japan before dropping out, citing a lack of motivation, which she attributes in part to the overwhelming influence of AI.

Now gaining popularity, she has signed with an agent and recently covered a teen fashion magazine, though she remarked on her struggles with newfound fame: “I’m not great at this fame thing.”

Reflecting on her past, Wilson longed for the anonymity she once experienced, when “no one knew who I was” and felt that, in many ways, she’d been treated as just another person. “It was incredible, but I missed it,” she confessed.

“I think I’m a bit indifferent to the attention, but the financial benefits are nice,” she remarked.
